Custom Forms and Fields: Assigning Custom Forms and Extensions

Custom forms and form extensions allow you to capture data that is not collected by standard Euna Grants records and forms. They can be configured to apply globally across all records of a given type or assigned manually to specific records. This article covers how to manually assign non-global custom forms and form extensions to a grant record in Euna Grants.

Custom Forms vs. Form Extensions

Euna Grants offers two ways to capture custom data beyond what the system collects by default: custom forms and form extensions.

Note: If a custom form or form extension is globally assigned, it displays Yes under the Global column. Globally assigned forms do not need to be manually added to each record.

Custom Forms

Custom forms are standalone forms that capture custom data not already collected by Euna Grants.

To access:

Navigate to Administration > Custom > Forms Library.

Euna Grants displays a list of all available custom forms.

Form Extensions

Form extensions capture custom data as well, but attach directly to an existing record, such as an award, grant, reporting period, or payment request, rather than existing as a separate form.

To access:

Navigate to Administration > Custom > Form Extension Library

Euna Grants displays a list of all available form extensions.

Assigning a Custom Form or Form Extension to a Grant

Follow the steps below to manually assign a non-global custom form or form extension to a grant record.

1. Navigate to Grant Management > Grants.
   
   The All Grants page displays.
2. Select the name of the grant you want to assign forms to. 
   The Grant Details page displays.
3. Select the Custom tab at the top of the page, then select Form Configuration.
   Euna Grants displays a list of available custom forms and form extensions that can be assigned to the grant.
4. (Optional) Select the Preview link to the right of a form or form extension name to review it before assigning.
5. Check the box next to each custom form or form extension you want to assign to the grant record.
6. Click the Save button. 
   Euna Grants assigns the selected forms and form extensions to the grant record.
