Program Dashboard and Program Grid
The Program Dashboard and Grid Updates are two tools that work together to help you see everything happening in your grant programs. These features keep all your critical information organized, easy to find, and ready for action.
- Program Dashboard: A customizable dashboard showing program health snapshots, pending items that need your attention, and key numbers.
- Program Grids: Detailed tables that let you see, search, and act on specific program information like awards, recipient details, submitted requests, overdue items, and reports.
When to Use Dashboard vs. Grids
Use the Dashboard when you want to:
- Get a quick snapshot of program health
- See what demands your immediate attention
- Spot trends like how long items sit in review or spending patterns
- View information personalized to your role
Use the Grids when you want to:
- Look at specific details about programs, awards, or recipients
- Follow up on a dashboard alert by seeing the full picture
- Sort, filter, and compare across all your programs
- Complete actions like approving requests or reviewing reports
How Dashboard and Grids Work Together
Dashboard: Your Starting Point
The dashboard is your control center. It shows you counts, trends, and alerts that help you decide what to work on first.
Grids: The Full Story
Click any count on the dashboard to jump into the Grids. Here you see all the actual data behind that number. You can also filter, sort, and take action on specific items.
Smart Navigation (Pre-Filtered Views)
When you click a count—whether from the dashboard or a grid column—you land in a pre-filtered view. This means you see only the relevant items, not everything.
Example: In the Needs Attention widget, you see "Reports Past Due (5)." Click on the link, and the Grid will show you those exact five items—not all tasks across all awards in your program, just the five that are past due.
How Data Flows Through the System
Save Your Custom Views
You can save custom views in both the Dashboard and Grids. For example, you can create a grid filter to show only "High Risk Awards" or a dashboard layout with your most-used widgets. Use these saved views together to build your perfect workflow.
Note: Saved views are user specific and are not account wide. You can customize your saved views to match how you work, then revisit them daily for fast access to your most important tasks.
