Purpose Areas provide an additional level of categorization for grouping your grant dollars, giving you the ability to report on those groupings across opportunities, awards, and grants regardless of which specific program they fall under. This is useful for tracking funding by broader initiative, for example, total dollars allocated toward economic development, rather than by individual grant alone.

Purpose Areas are available for assignment in several areas throughout Euna Grants.

Creating a Purpose Area
Creating a Purpose Area requires only a name, making it quick to set up new categories as your reporting needs grow. Complete the following steps to create a Purpose Area.
Tip: Agree on naming conventions with your team before creating Purpose Areas, to keep categorization consistent.
- Navigate to Administration > Lists > Purpose Areas.
The Purpose Areas page displays. - Click the Create button in the options toolbar.
The Purpose Area form displays. - Enter a value in the Name field.
- Click the Create button.
The Purpose Area saves and displays in the Purpose Areas list.
