How To Add a Measure on an Application

Add a performance measure to your grant application.

Prerequisites: You must be an applicant/grantee with a draft application on an opportunity that allows measure proposals.

1. Log in to the Applicant Portal.
2. Navigate to your application for the opportunity
3. Click Performance Plan.
4. Navigate to the Measures section of the Performance Plan.
5. Click Propose Measure.
6. Enter the following information for your proposed measure:
   • Measure Name (required): What is this measure called? 
   • Type (required): Select one of three options: 
     • Milestone: Yes/No completion (for example, "Training completed")
     • Number: Numeric value (for example, "Staff hired: 10")
     • Percent: Percentage (for example, "Percent of target population served")
   • Description (required): Explain what this measure tracks and why it matters. 
   • Target (for Number and Percent types, optional): Set your goal value. 
   • Explanation (required): Justify why this measure is necessary for your program.
7. Click Create.
