09.03.2025 Release Notes: Program Management (New) and Workflow

AmpliFund has introduced Program Management, a centralized way to view, manage, and report on Programs, Opportunities, Awards, and Recipients. This update replaces the former Competitive Award Management (CAM) module and brings new functionality, fields, and navigation changes. 
 

New

Administration

• Competitive Award Management has been renamed to Programs.
• Form Templates have been moved to Administration > Custom > Application Form Templates and are only visible to clients with Competitive Award Management enabled.

Custom Reports

• There is a new reporting category called Programs in custom reporting.

Opportunities

• Opportunity Details now includes a Program field.
• Users can now delete opportunities directly from the Program > Opportunities grid.

Program Management

• Award Management has been replaced with Program Management in the left navigation and includes four sub-pages: Programs, Opportunities, Awards, Recipients.
• When users click on a Program, they will be presented with the following tabs:
  • Details Tab: Displays an overview of the program, including the program name and description.
  • Funding Sources Tab: Displays a view-only grid of all funding sources linked to the program.
  • Opportunities Tab: Displays a grid of all opportunities associated with the program. Users can view, create, edit, copy, and delete opportunities from this tab.
  • Awards Tab: Displays all awards associated with the specific program.
  • Recipients Tab: Displays a grid of all recipients within the program.
• There are new Program Statuses: Active, Inactive, and Archived.

User Security

• The following security roles have been added for the Programs module: Admin, Editor, User, View Only.
• Programs can now be configured on the User Record and program access must be defined for users across all areas of AmpliFund.

Updates

Workflow

• Workflow Actions in the left-hand navigation under Activity will now be named Workflow Classic Actions to distinguish between Workflow Actions and Workflow Assignments.

Fixes

Award

• The Pre-Award dropdown menu is now available on the Awards toolbar when an Award is linked to an application.

Budget

• Budget allocation dates are now automatically updated and validated to align with the grant or award start and end dates whenever budget line items are added.
