Award Dashboard

There have been updates to the Award Dashboards and Management Reporting (Analytics) experience within Euna Grants. Users will now see new and enhanced dashboard widgets, expanded financial and timeline visualizations, improved navigation, and a more consistent design across dashboards. The following functionalities have been added as a part of this update: 

Timeline Widget 

• Displays award timing and budget progress in a single, aligned view.
• Includes:
  • An award timeline bar showing the award start and end dates, segmented by grant years or quarters.
  • An overall budget progress bar showing total spending against the full budget (awarded amount plus match).
• The budget bar:
  • Fills are based on actual spending.
  • Turns red when spending exceeds the total budget.
  • Shows total actuals and percent spent.
  • Task due dates appear directly on the timeline with tooltips, including combined tooltips when multiple tasks share a due date.

Budget vs. Actual Widget 

• Line chart showing budgeted versus actual spending over time.
• Displays spending trends monthly across the life of the award.
• Authorized users can add expenses directly from the widget.

Expenditures by Category Widget 

• Bar chart comparing planned and actual spending by category.
• Categories are sorted by highest actual spend and include indirect costs when applicable.
• Supports multiple timeframes, including:
  • Month
  • Grant quarter
  • Fiscal year
  • Grant year
  • Calendar year
  • All time
• Visibility varies based on user permissions and award restrictions.

Budget Lines by Variance Widget 

• Highlights the top budget line items with the greatest variance between budgeted and actual amounts.
• Budget line items are clickable for quick access to details.
• Personnel-related data is hidden for users with salary restrictions.

Payments Widget 

• Displays payment totals by status, such as pending, approved, and paid.
• Users can navigate directly to filtered payment lists from the widget.
• Some users may be able to create payment requests directly, depending on permissions.
• A standalone Payments view is available for some clients.

Upcoming Tasks Widget 

• Shows the next five open tasks, ordered by due date.
• Past-due tasks are clearly highlighted.
• Users with the appropriate access can manage tasks directly from the widget.

Submitted for Review Widget 

• Displays submitted items, including:
  • Amendments
  • Payment requests
  • Uses a consistent, easy-to-scan layout.

Amendments Widget 

• Shows amendment activity by status.
• Counts are clickable for quick navigation.

Needs Attention Widget 

• Flags items that may require action, including:
  • Budget areas approaching or exceeding limits
  • Past-due reports
  • Provides direct links to the relevant areas for follow-up.

Recent Activity Widget 

• Displays the most recent award-related activity, such as:
  • Tasks
  • Payments
  • Amendments
  • Reporting actions
  • Custom forms

Dashboard Experience 

• Dashboards use a consistent visual design across all widgets.
• Widget availability and visible actions depend on:
  • User role and permissions
  • Award configuration
  • Budget, post-award, and salary restrictions
• Recipient dashboards follow a standard layout designed for clarity and ease of use.

Updates

API

• New API endpoints allow integrations to add and update budget categories (including form extensions) for grants, awards, and standalone grants.

Dashboards

• When users delete a default dashboard, it now reverts to the default layout.
